Stargazing Box Activity

Why do this?

The main aim of this activity is to offer your little one an experience of sensory stimulation as they look at the lights.

However, this activity also helps with emotional regulation as your little one can calm down looking at the little lights. If your little one is a baby, then this is a great activity for tummy time or helping them turn their heads right and left.

And if your little one is a toddler, then it's a great activity for imaginative play!

How To:

  1. Make small holes along one side of the box. Make sure they're at a distance compatible with the string light you have.
  2. Insert the LED lights into each hole until one side is fully covered.
  3. Turn on the lights and invite your little one to enter
  4. If they're a baby, put them on their back, or add the lights to the side and put them on their sides!
  5. If they're a toddler, allow them to explore!
