During Ramadan, our routines change drastically, which can surprise our little ones. That’s why Dr. Tala shares four essential tips to help you smoothly navigate schedule and lifestyle changes during the month.
1️⃣ Adjust Sleep Gradually (if needed) – If you want to shift your child’s schedule, do it slowly over a week. Push bedtime back by 15-30 minutes each night until you reach your goal.
2️⃣ Stick to Regular Mealtimes – Your little one’s hunger cues remain the same, so try to maintain their usual eating schedule to keep them comfortable.
3️⃣ Create a Sleep-Friendly Space – Family gatherings can be lively, but ensuring a calm, safe sleep environment will help your child rest peacefully.
4️⃣ Fasting & Breastfeeding? Stay Hydrated! – If you choose to fast while nursing, drink 2-3 liters of water at night. Most importantly, consult your doctor before making any changes.
